WB Done With Jason Momoa as Aquaman

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Momoa's tenure as Arthur Curry may come to an end after Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Several THR sources, however, stated that, despite stepping away from the character, Momoa would be a "pivotal figure" in the DCU's future plans. Other sources even claimed that Momoa would play a completely different character in a new franchise.

This could explain why DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn teased the interstellar bounty hunter Lobo just weeks ago, who could be the new film or franchise led by Momoa.
