Clayface Placment In The DCU Timeline Revealed

DC Studios released Clayface's first trailer yesterday, and while we haven't seen Matt Hagen's comic-accurate monstrous form, fans are still intrigued.

It will be interesting to see how it fits into the DCU and distinguishes itself from The Subtance as a full-blown body horror film. That movie has some obvious similarities, but Clayface's comic book setting should set it apart.

Clayface appears in multiple versions on the page, so it may not have been Matt Hagen. However, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn revealed on Threads that the film is set before Superman. "the first DCU film out of chronological order."
