Nathan Fillion cast to play Green Lantern in Superman Legacy
Nathan Fillion has been given the role of a Green Lantern in James Gunn's upcoming film Superman: Legacy, as was reported by Vanity Fair.
In the movie, the actor from Firefly will play the role of Guy Gardner, also known as the Green Lantern.
Garnder is a less heroic version of the hero, and he is likely going to bring a bit of awkward comedy to the Jame Gunn Superman film. While fans may be most prominently familiar with Hal Jordan and John Stewart as humans to wear the Green Lantern ring, Garnder is a version of the hero that was created by James Gunn.
Through the course of his career, Fillion has worked with Gunn on a number of occasions, including DC's The Suicide Squad (in which his character T.D.K. died in the opening minutes) and the recently released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
