THUNDERBOLTS* Post-Credits Scenes Explained
We previously covered Thunderbolts*' post-credits scenes last week, but with the film now in theaters, we thought many of you might like a refresher and a more detailed explanation.
Alexei Shostakov appears in the grocery store with short hair and a moustache after the MCU's "New Avengers" are revealed in the film's final act. He tries to talk a woman into buying Wheaties in the cereal aisle. Why? With the New Avengers on the front, she initially agrees and takes the box, but she drops it at the end of the aisle and runs away from the overly enthusiastic Red Guardian.
We rejoin the New Avengers "14 months later" in Avengers Tower. Not everyone thinks they're the right Avengers, and Captain America and Bucky Barnes appear to have fought over the latter's team using the Avengers name. Despite rumors of a lawsuit, this group is government-approved.
Yelena Belova leads the heroes in their new uniforms, but Bucky is there to advise the former assassin on superhero life. Bob, who has done the dishes, is afraid of unleashing The Void if he becomes The Sentry.
Yelena, unimpressed, mentions a space crisis after Red Guardian proposes calling them "New Avengerz". After that, the team learns that the Fantastic Four are entering their atmosphere and rocketing to Earth-616.
